Geocaching

Geocaching is a treasure hunt with satellite assistance. Hunt for small “treasures” hidden in nature – called “geocaches”.

All you have to do is transfer the geocache’s coordinates to your GPS – and you’re ready to head out to find the cache.

Geocaching is a great way to explore your surroundings and find places you might never otherwise have visited.

Throughout the South Funen Archipelago are lots of treasures hidden, and if you stick only to Svanninge Bakker, you can also find many treasures there.

Your GPS can help you get close to the cache, but finding it is up to you – and geocaches can be very clever hidden! When you find a cache, login to the logbook. If you take something from the cache, leave something of the same size or value so that there is also something to be found for the next geocacher that finds the treasure. And always remember to hide the cache exactly as you found it.
